NSE’s Nifty closed with gain of 50.05 points or 0.42 per cent at 12,016.10 while BSE’s Sensex closed at 40,653.74 an increase of 183.96 points or 0.45 per cent.

Nifty gained 43.8 points or 0.37 per cent to close at 11,961 while BSE’s Sensex touched a new high of 40,606, before closing at 40,469.78 with a gain of 221.55 points or 0.55 per cent.
Nifty was down 24.10 or 0.2 per cent at 11,917.20, Sensex slipped 53.73 points or 0.13 per cent to 40, 248.23.
The market breadth was positive, with more than two stocks gaining for every one decline.
What dominated the mood on the markets were the auto sales numbers for October. Dalal Street was looking forward to these numbers because they would also give an indication of festival sales.
BSE Sensex closed at 40,129.05, an increase of 77.18 or 0.19 per cent. NSE Nifty closed at 11,881.20 an increase of 37.10 points or 0.31 per cent.
Sensex ended the day after rising by 220.03 points while Nifty, pushed up by IT stocks, brought the index to 11,844.
The biggest reason for the come-back of Bulls was some auto companies’ reports on the sales on festive weekend being better than last year’s.

NSE Nifty ended the day with a drop of 21.50 points or 0.19 per cent at 11,582.60. BSE’s Sensex lost 38.44 points or 0.10 per cent and closed at 39,020.39.
