Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, received a death threat earlier this week, as reported by the police today. In an email, an individual demanded ?20 crore from the industrialist, threatening to take his life if the amount was not provided.

The email conveyed, "If you don't give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India."

The threat, sent by a person named Shadab Khan on October 27, prompted a complaint filed by security personnel at Ambani's Mumbai residence, Antilia. The Gamdevi Police in Mumbai registered a case against an unidentified individual under sections 387 and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and initiated an investigation.

This incident is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has faced death threats. In the previous year, Mumbai Police arrested an individual from Bihar who had made anonymous calls threatening?Ambani and his family members. The caller had specifically threatened to "blow up" the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital along with the Ambani family's residence, 'Antilia,' located in south Mumbai.

In 2021, an explosives-laden SUV was discovered near Ambani's residence in south Mumbai. The vehicle's owner, businessman Hiran, was found dead in a creek in neighboring Thane on March 5 of that year.
