Arshad Shaik, Jyoti Gaderiya C1-3 Road Race Cycling Finals Highlights Paris Paralympics: Indians Fall Short

The Indian is racing on 42nd number in the 71.0km distance race. Arshad Shaik had previously participated in the Men's Road Time Trial C2, where he finished 11th with a time of 25:20.11.

On the other hand, Jyoti has set off in the women’s C1-3 Road Race. The total race distance is 56.6km. She also competed in the Women’s 300m Individual Pursuit C1-3 on August 29, 2024, where she finished 10th with a time of 4:53.929.

Currently, Arshad Naik is riding at rank 30 in the Men's C1-3 Road Race Final after finishing the first 14.2 km in 26:15.

Jyoti Gaderiya is currently riding last, at 15th, in the women's C1-3 road race. She completes the 14.2km mark in 33 minutes and 45 seconds.

Shaik has completed the 28.4km mark with a time of 52:52, and is currently riding on the 28th position. Thomas Peyroton-Dartet of France is leading the event who finished the same in only 40:43.

Jyoti finishes 28.4km in 1:10:23 and still at the 15th, last, spot in the field of 15. Xiaomei Wang of China is currently leading who finished 42.6km in only 1:13:05.

With only 27.4 remaining to ride in the sous-bois town, Arshad Shaik keeps the 28th spot. He finished the 48.6km mark in 1:23:0228 and is +21:42 behind the leader. Three of the riders have already disqualified.

Arshad Shaik is out of contention from the C1-3 Road Race Cycling Finals with a -1 Lap. He finished only 56.8km in 1:51:43. Here's the score

Finley Graham of Great Britain claims the gold medal finishing the 71.0km race with a time of 1:43:19. France earn two medals with Thomas Peyroton-Dartet securing the silver and Alexandre Leaute getting the bronze.

Speaking of Jyoti Gaderiya, she finished in the last position in the Para Cycling Women’s C1-3 Road Race Final, completing 42.6 km in 1:48:17, one lap down from the leaders, and placed 15th out of 15 member field.

Arshad Shaik represented India in four events at the Paris Paralympics, including two in Para-Cycling Track and two in the Para-Cycling Road. Unfortunately, the Indian was unable to make a significant impact in any of these events.

Jyoti Gaderiya also competed in four events. Unfortunately, she experienced a similar fate and was unable to achieve success in any of them.
