Opening the innings for the visitors, he saw off DC's bowlers for the initial 30 deliveries before amping up his strike-rate. In his innings of 103 off 65 deliveries, Prabhsimran struck 10 fours and 6 sixes.

Batting on 98 and acing Khaleel Ahmed in the 18th over, the right-hand batter struck a four past backward point to bring up his maiden IPL hundred. Before this game, he had just one fifty to his name.
