As per reports, BCCI secretary Jay Shah and Agarkar-led selection team will meet in Delhi to discuss the team and the roadmap for Team India in the T20I with the World Cup next year being the major target.
Rohit Sharma To Sit Out Of T20Is?
The big topic of discussion whether Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli would return for T20I action. Suryakumar Yadav is currently leading the side with Hardik Pandya, India's T20I captain, out with a ligament tear. However, as per a PTI report, BCCI want to reinstate Rohit as T20 skipper but that would raise questions on Hardik as well. For now, Suryakumar and Rohit's names are being discussed for captaincy for SA T20I series.
Captains In Tests, ODIs
PTI report also states that Virat Kohli will opt out of the white ball leg of South Africa. However, Rohit might make a comeback for the ODIs and Tests.
Rahul Dravid To Continue As Head Coach
Despite reports of quitting, BCCI has extended the contract of Rahul Dravid as Team India's head coach. Though the details of the extension has not been revealed, Dravid has retained the same staff he had during the ODI World Cup with Vikram Rathour as batting coach, Paras Mhambrey as bowling coach and T Dlip asfielding coach.?
