Netherlands Vs South Africa Pitch Report

We have a fresh pitch for today's game. There's a strong breeze blowing across. 70 meters on one side, 66 on the other, and 72 meters down the ground. It's been a change of strategy - they've definitely taken more grass off. I think this will play better and I think they're using this for the India-Pakistan game as well.

Scott Edwards, NED Captain

"Credit to South Africa they bowled well, credit to their batters how they batted in the end. Probably hard to tell. We were just getting an understanding of the slow outfield and the way that wicket played. I think we think we pride ourselves playing in tournament cricket, we find our ways of playing in such games. I back our guys, it was a tough wicket to start."

Aiden Markram, SA Captain

"It was nerve-racking. Got to give credit to them and also credit to us upfront (with the ball.) It's a game of a cricket, they (Netherlands) have proved that they can beat best teams. They have beaten us twice (in ICC tournaments), not a mental block or something. The game of cricket makes it a bit tricky. We are moving forward as a squad. Sometimes the wins are going to be convincing. To squeeze a win out of that situation, it's good for the team environment. If compared to the first game, I think the wicket played well today."

David Miller Is The Player Of The Match

That's It From Our Side

That will be it from our side. Another interesting game. South Africa bowled well to restrict 103/9 but the Dutch struck back reducing the Proteas to 3/3. Ultimately David Miller pulled SA out of trouble and led to a four-wicket win.

Good Night!
