V. Bala Showri, MP for Machilipatnam and chairman of the Airport Advisory Committee, said a direct flight from Vijayawada to Sharjah will begin on Monday.

According to him, the flight will operate twice a week -- Monday and Saturday. Also, every Saturday a flight to Muscat and every flight to Kuwait will also operate from the Vijayawada Airport, Showri added.?
