Pakistani Woman Entered India Illegally With 4 Children To Meet Online Friend; All Arrested

A woman from Pakistan connected with a man in Greater Noida through the online gaming platform PUBG and entered India illegally with four of her children and stayed with him in his house until the police detained them.

Central agencies, including the Bureau of Immigration, and the UP Anti-Terrorist Squad have been informed about a Pakistani woman who was arrested in Greater Noida for illegally staying in the country, police said on Tuesday.

The Pakistani woman entered India with four of her children illegally to meet and stay with a man in Greater Noida whom she met through an online gaming platform. The Uttar Pradesh Police have detained the woman for allegedly entering the country illegally.?

The police have?arrested the man who gave the woman and her children shelter in Greater Noida in his rented housing accommodation in the?Rabupura area.

The woman identified as?Seema Ghulam Haider is in her late 20s met Sachin Meena, around 25 who is a resident of Greater Noida.?They also arrested his father Netrapal Singh since he knew about the woman staying in his place.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Miya Khan told PTI, "The Pakistani woman and the local man have been detained. The woman's four children are also in police custody."

An FIR in the case has been lodged at the local Rabupura police station under provisions of the Foreigners Act, the Passport (Entry into India) Act and section 120B (party to criminal conspiracy) and 34 (act done by several people with common intention), he said.

According to the reports the police informed that the Pakistani woman and the Indian man met on the popular online gaming platform, PUBG which led to a friendship,?then allegedly the two?fell in love and thus the relocation.

Seema Haider hails from the Sindh province of Pakistan and married Ghulam Haider in 2014. They lived together in Karachi till 2019 when he moved to Saudi Arabia for work, police said.

The couple did not have a happy marriage and in 2019, Seema Haider got in touch with Meena while playing the online game PUBG and eventually got close to the extent that she decided to come to India with her children, police added.

Reports say that the woman entered India via Nepal from Pakistan. She allegedly took a bus from Nepal to reach Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.?
