A video showed that?at least 200-300 people gathered around the dargah on Friday evening who were seen pelting?stones at the police officials.
The agitated mob also vandalised a police post and?set police vehicles on fire.
Three policemen, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police, were injured in the attack.
So far, police have detained 174 people in connection with the violence.
When the mob started pelting stones at the cops, police officials retaliated by firing tear gas shells at the frenzy crowd.
What led to the trouble?
The agitation was primarily caused by the Junagadh Municipal Corporation's demotition notice which said that the religious structure had been built "illegally".
A deadline of five days have been given to produce evidence that the dargah was built in a legal manner or else it would be demolished, adding that the management would have to bear the cost of it.
"We have rounded up 174 people and our teams were on patrolling duty the entire night. When the mob started pelting stones, we had to fire tear gas shells. One person was killed and suspects have been detained on the basis of the CCTV footage. Now, the Municipal Corporation will decide when the demolition will be carried out," police said.
