Ghaziabad Boy Dies Of Rabies After Hiding Dog Bite From His Parents For Over a Month

The deceased identified as Shahvaz was?a student of class 8 who was taken to an Ayurvedic doctor in Bulandshahr for treatment after his health deteriorated. While returning to Ghaziabad he passed away in the ambulance.

He contracted rabies from the bite and started behaving abnormally. According to the reports, he stopped eating on September 1 and finally revealed to his family that he was bitten by a dog.?

Reportedly the government hospitals in Delhi refused to admit Shahvaz so Shahvaz's family took him to an Ayurvedic doctor in Bulandshahr for treatment.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kotwali zone, Nimish Patil told PTI that a?complaint has been lodged in the matter and action will be taken against the dog owner.
