Amid the ongoing row over an alleged bribery case associated with asking questions at the parliament, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra has as ked for more time to appear before the Ethics Committee of Lok Sabha.

Earlier, the?Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha asked Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra to appear before it on October 31 in relation to cash-for-query allegations levelled against her by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey
Moitra took it to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) and said that she looks forward to "deposing immediately" after her "pre-scheduled constituency programmes end on November 4".
As per media reports, ethics committee had yesterday recorded statements of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai, both of whom have levelled the allegations against the Trinamool leader.?
Earlier, the?Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha asked Moitra to appear before it on October 31 in relation to cash-for-query allegations levelled against her by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who told the panel on Thursday that it was an "open and shut" case and she should be disqualified.
