Upbeat after Karnataka victory, Congress is now focusing on other poll-bound states in the country and crucial 2024 Lok Sabha election as the grand-old-party has called for a meeting of its leaders from various states.

Congress has decided to rejuvenate its cadre at a time when the elections are slated in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, while it also plans to succeed in crucial 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
The party’s move seems to have bolstered by successive victories in Himachal Pradesh Assembly election and latest Karnataka polls.
Congress, as per NDTV report, has called a meeting of the party leaders from Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan on May 24 to strategise for upcoming Assembly elections.
The NDTV report quoting sources said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will chair the meeting.
It also mentioned that the meeting comes amid internal conflict among senior leaders over postings.?
There had been intense deliberations over CM’s post following Karnataka victory for the party which was finally given to Siddaramaiah.
Congress is caught in quagmire also in Rajasthan as the internal rift between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot seems not to end. The state is also slated for Assembly elections in the upcoming months.?
Madhya Pradesh, where Congress suffered a humiliating loss after a rebellious Jyotiraditya Scindia walked away with 22 party MLAs causing the fall of the 15-month-old Kamal Nath government in 2020, is another challenge for the party as most of the Scindia loyalist MLAs were comfortably re-elected from the BJP.?
Congress hopes to topple the BJP as it faces huge anti-incumbency after staying in power for most of the last two decades.
In Telangana, Congress will take on K Chandrashekar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi, complicating plans of a united grand opposition to the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Congress is hoping to capitalise on former party president Rahul Gandhi's massive pan-India foot march "Bharat Jodo Yatra" which it says has re-energised its cadre base.?
