Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday said that the results of the Assembly elections in the states seemed like they have 'won the semifinals' referring to the Lok Sabha polls in 2024 as the finale.

Speaking to PTI, Maurya expressed his pride in BJP's win, he said, "Congress has been wiped out and we are proud that we have won the semifinal."
Maurya also iterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity is proved by the election results and the trumpet of his leadership continues to?ring?loudly.
Further Maurya claimed that the country's citizens have not bought the promises declared by the Congress and rejected them as their leaders.
The Bharatiya Janata Party?has surpassed the 150-seat mark in Madhya Pradesh out of the total 230 seats. Additionally, the BJP's lead has crossed the majority threshold of 100 in Rajasthan. In Chhattisgarh, the BJP has extended its lead to over 50 seats out of the total 90. Meanwhile, in Telangana, the Congress party's lead comfortably exceeds the majority mark of 60.
