On Monday, activist Manoj Jarange-Patil reiterated his call for Maratha quota, emphasizing the community's rightful demand for reservation in government jobs and education. Speaking at a public meeting in Kharadi, Pune, as part of his statewide tour to engage with Marathas and raise awareness about the reservation issue, Jarange-Patil shared insights from the scrutiny of documents by a government-appointed committee, as reported by PTI.

According to the activist, the committee has identified 29 lakh cases where the term "Kunbi" is mentioned in documents related to Marathas. Jarange-Patil questioned why, despite this evidence, the Maratha community has been denied reservation for the past 70 years. He called for transparency, urging disclosure of the names of individuals responsible for withholding reservation from Marathas.

Taking a firm stance, Jarange-Patil declared that the government would not be granted any further time on this matter. "We want our rightful reservation, and we will get it," he asserted. Prior to the public meeting, a bike rally was organized in support of Jarange, showcasing community solidarity on the reservation issue.
