US: $10,000 Reward Announced For Info On Indian Student Mayushi Bhagat Missing Since 4 Years

United States' intel and security service Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has offered a reward up to $10,000 for information on the?29-year-old Indian student who went missing from New Jersey over four years ago.

The student, Mayushi Bhagat,?was reportedly last seen leaving her apartment in US's Jersey City on the evening of April 29, 2019, wearing “colourful pyjama pants and a black T-shirt.”

FBI Newark Field Office and the Jersey City Police Department have sought public’s help in solving Bhagat’s disappearance, with an offer of a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her location or recovery.

Who Is Mayushi Bhagat

FBI, in July last year, had added Mayushi Bhagat to its list of "Missing Persons" and sought assistance from the public to help with information about her.

Born in India in July 1994, Bhagat came to US in 2016 on an F1 student visa and was studying at the New York Institute of Technology, a PTI report said.

Bhagat has been described as 5’10” with black hair and brown eyes.?

According to a statement by the FBI, Mayushi Bhagat speaks English, Hindi and Urdu and as per?detectives, she has friends in South Plainfield, New Jersey.

“They could receive a reward of up to USD 10,000 for information leading to her location or recovery,” the statement issued last week said.

The FBI has put Bhagat’s ‘Missing Person’ poster on the “Most Wanted” page of its website under the list of “Kidnappings/Missing Persons."
