Highest 82% Voting Took Place In Kondagaon District In The First Phase Of Assembly Elections

This time special enthusiasm was seen among the new young voters. Where this time there were 18878 voters in the 18-19 age group in the district and the total number of voters who got the opportunity to vote for the assembly elections for the first time (18-22 age group) is 49000. Due to which the participation of youth seemed to have increased.

New Delhi (India), November 24: The first phase of voting for the Assembly Elections 2023 was organized on Tuesday for 20 Assemblies of 11 districts of Chhattisgarh. According to the interim data released by the Election Commission of India, Kondagaon district witnessed the highest turnout among all the 11 districts. According to which the total voting in Kondagaon district was 81.76 percent and according to the final report of the assembly constituencies of the district, this figure has increased to 82%. In which 81.74 percent of voting took place in the KeshkalAssembly, and 82.28 percent voting took place in KondagaonAssembly.

People showed enthusiasm due to the establishment of 38 new polling stations in interior areas. 38 new polling stations were established in the district for the Assembly elections 2023. In which polling centers were also established in the villages situated in sensitive and remote forest areas like Chema, Kudhur, Mathanibeda, Medpal, Randhana-2, Bhagdeva, Harvel, Kibaibalenga-2 etc. Curiosity about the new polling stations was at its peak among the people which also gave good results. The percentage of voting in the interior areas was seen to be higher than in the cities at some places.

The special team of the Election Commission had also appreciated the voter awareness campaign of the district.therole of adiminstration led by Collector Deepak Soni helped in conducting the elections A large scale voter awareness program was conducted in the district to make people aware about voting. Under which competitions like EVM demonstration, voter resolution program, human chain, awareness rally, wall writing, mehndi rangoli painting, singing etc. were also organized. The voter awareness program being run in the district was appreciated by Chief Electoral Officer Shri Reena Baba Saheb Kangale along with the team of special observers who had come for the assembly elections.

The general observers and expenditure observers appointed in the district had also praised General Observers BalajiDigambar Manjule, SD Mandhare, Expenditure Observer Dr.Dinesh Kumar Jangid, appointed by the Election Commission of India for the Assembly Elections 2023 in the district, also participated in the programs organized for voter awareness. From where he praised the voter awareness campaign from the stage.
