These Eyes Have Not Seen A Path

These eyes have not seen a path,

As these have never been bathed,

By the water of love.

Sometimes they meditate to depart.

This soul becomes silent yet not impatient.

Oh bumblebee, leave these tales,

Of a boat in a sea with no banks!

I have not seen a nation where,

Anything intoxicating more,

Than a beloved is found.

I am a river whose ocean is a desert,

That chatak bird who lives in ignorance.

To the one who burns like an oil-lamp,

One shouldn’t enquire about the survival.

Has an inebriate partridge ever learned!

Laws of kingdom of love, never!

You are mere a beggar of nectar,

What would you understand,

Of contentment when there is no love.

Decorating your path with nectar,

Some florets light up when they see you.

They stir and prepare the concoction,

Of their petals with their eyelashes,

And are never content feeding it to you.

They make for you a ribbon of beads,

Braided in the string of sunrays.

And adorn it on you without any hesitation.

Oh bumblebee! How could you now,

Differentiate between rose and a lotus.

The almighty gives shade where,

Blazing sunlight doesn’t burn mankind.

I only get the pious stream of tears,

And not the expanse of a roaring sea.

The moon of affection laughs,

Telling that there is no existence,

For the night that has been beguiled.

Where do you roam oh friend!

This is not the path for the country of love.

Who are you in my heart?

Who alleviates my anxiety,

And sweetens it infinitely!

Who fills my parched eyes?

With unknown clouds which rain incessantly.

An artist in my golden dreams!

And he who lives in the

Uninhabited abode of my sleep.

Who are you in my heart?

To whom my exhales pursue!

Constantly in every moment

And to kiss whose footprints,

Return my breaths periodically,

Who has imprisoned me?

Along with his victories

Who are you in my heart?
