The Rolls Royce Ghost was the go-to limousine for those who want an uber luxurious experience. It was the bread and butter model for the British carmaker and the most successful vehicle they ever built. However, the current iteration of the Ghost is at the end of its 10-year-long run and will soon bid farewell. And the British manufacturer wants to give it a special send off by introducing a Zenith Collector’s Edition.
The Ghost Zenith Edition is the pinnacle of the opulence and exclusivity that Rolls Royce is all about and its main highlights are all inside.
The special edition Rolls has illuminated door pockets and ambient lighting that emanates from the leather upholstery on the door pads. Then there’s a blueprint inspired artwork that has been engraved onto the centre trim and features an ingot made from the original 200EX’s Spirit of Ecstasy. The Zenith Edition also gets its exclusive clock with the name Zenith engraved in it. The engraving can also be found on the door sills and the ingot on the centre trim.
The seats of the Ghost Zenith feature an embroidery design that takes inspiration from the 1907 Silver Ghost. Then there’s the Rolls Royce trademark star headliner that has been upgraded to a Shooting Star one. Perfect ambience to enjoy that glass of champagne!
Yes, the Ghost Zenith Edition gets its exclusive Spirit Of Ecstacy that has the tag ‘Ghost Zenith’ engraved on it. The Zenith is available in three dual-tone colour options with a gloss-contrast paint finish - Iguazu Blue with Andalusian White, Premiere Silver with Arctic White or a daring Bohemian Red with Black Diamond.
As with all Rolls Royce models, you can also customise the Zenith Edition with various interior colours and trims of your choice. Rolls will also customise that artwork on the centre console to your personal taste if you desire!
Under the hood, the Ghost Zenith Edition is powered by the same 6.6-litre V12 motor that churns out 570PS and 820Nm. It directs the power to its rear wheels and does the 0-100kmph run in 4.9 seconds. If you intend to max it out, the Ghost has an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
Rolls Royce has also started work on the next generation Ghost and it has been spied testing overseas. The main highlights of the next-gen model are a brand new platform and an all-wheel drive system, the latter a first for the Ghost. The interiors also could get addition of new technology like a digital driver’s display, new and advanced infotainment and more. The next-gen Ghost is expected to launch globally, including India, by 2021.
