Goa-based artist and curator Miriam Koshy’s community project Aamche Mangrove, featured on the cover, seeks not just to build awareness, but also an emotional connect with the fragile mangrove ecosystem of the coastal state. The Goa Mangrove Community Art Collective was conceived to raise sensitivity about the importance of mangroves, and seeks to address generational environmental amnesia by involving the youth, concerned citizens and the very communities whose livelihood is dependent on the health of this ecosystem. Others involved in the project include Vishal Rawlley and Talullah D’Silva, who run a ‘Community Classroom’, supported by Dhruv Goswami, Kabir Naik, Joshua, Hrithwik, Vikas Muthaparambil, Hina Saiyada, Hari Venita Coelho, Jack Sukhija, et al.
