TV’s Lakshman, Arun Mandola, Shares His Emotions After Ram Mandir Consecration
Arun Mandola who has played the character of Lakshman in popular mythological television shows shared his thoughts on the Praan Pratishtha Samaroh in Ayodhya.
Talking about the same, Arun Mandola says, “This Praan Pratishtha Samaroh is very precious for every Indian citizen. Ram has said I will not come directly to Kalyug but my presence will be there indirectly. January 22 is going to be a historical date for the next 500 years. We have waited for Ayodhya Ram mandir for many decades and I believe each and every person who believes in Lord Rama will be a part of this immortal moment.”
He adds, “I always wish to be reborn in Treta Yug and see Bhagwan Ram and see the miracle of God being reborn for his devotees. How lucky we are that god has come once again in Kalyug.” Arun feels he is blessed as he has been part of a few mythological shows where he has portrayed the role of Lakhsmana. He says, “I feel very emotional because I have lived some extraordinary moments in my TV shows. Sometimes I have cried during the shooting of my shows ‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan’ and ‘Vighnaharta Ganesha’. I have always dreamt of playing Shri Ram’s character and recently I have given a look test for that also. Got the offer for Bharat’s character but I wanted to play only Shri Ram and I will wait for this moment my entire life. Manifestation has started and it will happen.”
Arun was recently in Delhi and shared how the capital was decorated for this big event in Ayodhya. “This week I went to Delhi and I saw how Delhi was decorated with Shri Ram flags. Each and every temple in India is decorated with lights and Hindu dhwaja’s. I started taking the name of Jai Shri Ram from 2016 and today I see everywhere people are also involved in Jai Shri Ram. My friends don’t say ‘Aur bhai kya haal chaal’. They proudly say Jai Shri Ram. Now I feel I have achieved something in my life as I have involved them in the practice.”
Arun also adds, “I feel lucky that Bhagwan Ram has chosen me for the Ramayana TV show because billions of people all over the world must have tried to play Lakshmana and hardly 15 to 20 people played Ram/Lakshmana in the last 75 years in India. When I was chosen for Lakshmana, I was very happy but now my dream is to play Bhagwan Ram Chandra or Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s character. I am confident that I will do justice to the character. Recently I heard Shri Arun Govil, Sunil Lehri and Deepika Chikhliya ji have been invited to this grand event but I am very upset that why other TV show actors Ram, Lakshman, and Sita were not invited for this grand event. We also deserve to be part of the golden moment because God has chosen us for these historical TV shows. My TV show ‘Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman’ is popular all over the world. This show has been dubbed in many international languages and Indian languages. Every year I get several invitations during Dussehra from several big events to play a part of Ram Leela. Many casting directors and friends told me that you played Lakshman so playing Ram will be difficult. People have forgotten that the most popular actor Arun Govil also played Lakshmana in ‘Luv Kush Ramayana’. In this, Jitendra Kapoor played Ram (Directed by Madhusoodan Rao). One day I will also play this iconic role.”
Arun also shares how he has been greeted in 2021 when he was in Ayodhya. He says, “In 2021, I was invited to Ayodhya Grand event as a Guest. Chief Minister Yogi ji attended us at that event and honestly speaking that was a proud moment of my life because the first time I visited Ayodhya Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi. India’s biggest politician was the host. A few years back Ayodhya was a gangster city and now it’s rising as the world’s most popular spiritual city. Ayodhya Airport is ready and lots of big infrastructure projects are happening. Nitesh Tiwari and Kangna Ranaut are also considering making a movie on Ramayana and lots of directors are thinking of re-creating Ramayana.”
