We are nothing without our mothers. Our world revolves around her. No one loves and cares for us like she does. Mother’s Day celebrates motherhood, the bond she shares with her children and how they are one of the backbones of our society. ‘Bhagya Lakshmi’ actor Mohit Malhotra talks about his mother, Anju Malhotra and shares his fondest childhood memory.
Mohit Malhotra On Mother's Day: My Mother Always Put Her Children First
As the world celebrates Mother’s Day, Mohit Malhotra opens up about his equation with his mother, and how she has always been supporting him and putting his interest before anything else.
“Yes, whoever said it’s true that ‘Moms are like buttons, they hold everything together’. I think they're the ones who hold the whole family together. They have the most unconditional love for their children and nobody can compare the love that they give to their children to anybody else. They will always think about their children before they would think about themselves or their family or their husband. So, the children who have moms are the luckiest,” he says.
Sharing his fondest childhood memory, Mohit adds, “I think that whenever I wanted something I would get stubborn to get it from my dad. I had been a stubborn child, very naughty and cried every time I wanted something. And, I think my mom would always make sure at some point I got whatever I wanted, she always took my side. So I think those have been my fondest memories and now when you grow older, you realise how even at this age she keeps you first and makes sure you're able to get what you need before. She never thinks about her needs in her life. She always puts her children first regardless of her age and it's beautiful in itself and I'm really lucky and grateful to have a mom like I have.”
