Joe Russo Compares Priyanka Chopra To Robert Downey Jr And Chris Evans In MCU:?She Had It Toughest
Priyanka too added that what didn’t happen to Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans, happened to her because the characters in ‘Citadel’ are humans.
Recently, the creator of the series, Joe Russo revealed that they put Priyanka through so much during the shoot, something they didn’t make Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans go through even during the filming of the Marvel movies.
During promotional interviews for Citadel, Joe said, “The physical work she did on the show, for the amount of time she had to do it, was the toughest we have put any actor through.” He quipped that Priyanka carries “a lot of physicality of season one”.
When Priyanka joked that her favourite scene of the series is the last scene, Joe added,?“It’s the hardest job we have asked of any actor that we worked with. Even when we were doing those Marvel movies, when Robert Downey Jr puts on that helmet, he is out and CGI takes over. Chris Evans puts on the cap, some man takes over, but there was no rest for her.”?Priyanka too added that what didn’t happen to Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans, happened to her because, “Our characters are humans, we get hurt, we bleed, we don’t have superpowers, so it was important.”
In 'Citadel', Priyanka will be seen as elite spy Nadia Sinh opposite Richard Madden, who stars as Mason Kane. Earlier while talking about the project, she had told Indian Express,? “It is a thick glass ceiling. But I think my generation of actresses, there are many of them, that have helped knock that ceiling down in Hindi cinema. Actors like Deepika, Katrina, and Kangana, who have done incredible action and looked amazing while doing it. It took them demanding that, it took a generation of actors before us to fight for it and that happens with every generation.”
‘Citadel’ will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on April 28.
