Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2' is all set to hit the screens on August 11. The satirical-comedy also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Govind Namdev and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.
The latest reports state that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate to the film, without any cuts, but it has recommended more than 25 modifications. As per reports, sources stated, “After all the discussions, the film has been passed without any cuts. There are some scenes, dialogues and characters which have been modified by the makers after discussion with the censor board members.”
There have been reports of the film getting postponed but there is no truth in it and it is said that 'OMG 2' trailer will release on August 11. As per the source, “The rumour mills were circulating reports about a delay in the film's release but there is no truth to those reports. 'OMG 2' will release on August 11 as scheduled and the aggressive marketing campaign will begin now leading to its release. The trailer is expected to drop in the next 2 days".
In the teaser of 'OMG 2', Akshay Kumar is seen as?Lord Shiva and Pankaj Tripathi's character is an ardent devotee of Shiva. He seems?to be in some problem and Akshay's character comes to rescue his devotee.
The film landed in controversy after a priest from Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple demanded the deletion of the scenes filmed at the temple.?As per a report in ANI, Mahesh Sharma, a priest of the Mahakaleshwar temple, said: “The censor board has given ‘A’ certificate to the film Oh My God 2. This certification is reserved for films that have adult content. We demand that some scenes, which were filmed at the Mahakal temple, be removed as they might offend the religious sentiments of viewers. If our demand isn’t met, we will launch protests across the country.”
