Rani Mukerji has been doing lesser films in the recent past but whatever she is doing is turning out to be a massive crowd-puller. From ‘Mardaani’ to ‘Hichki’ to ‘Mardaani 2’ to Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ – all have been women-led films and have done exceedingly well. The only film of hers which didn’t end up doing well recently was ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’. Even though it was a sequel to her 2005 film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, the film didn’t have the zest that the first instalment had. Now, she is all set to be back for the third instalment in the ‘Mardaani’ franchise.

On the work front, Rani Mukerji has been all over the news since the time she appeared on ‘Koffee With Karan 8’ alongside her cousin sister Kajol. This wasn’t the first appearance of the two together on the show, but this was definitely the most memorable one. The two had been a laugh riot on the show, which is hosted by Karan Johar, who had the two ladies in his first film directorial, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Since then, the two actresses have been lucky mascots for Karan Johar, as he has tried and used them even if it's for a small cameo appearance in his films.
