The Singapore International Arbitration Centre put a temporary hold on the Kishore Biyani-led Future Retail’s Rs 24,713-crore deal to sell assets to Reliance Industries. Amazon.com Inc had invoked arbitration proceedings, alleging that Future’s sale of its assets to Reliance breached its contract with Amazon signed last year.

A Delhi court has awarded three-year jail term to Dilip Ray, the 68-year old former minister of state in the Vajpayee government, in a coal scam case pertaining to irregularities in the allocation of a Jharkhand block in 1999, saying white collar crimes are “more dangerous” than ordinary ones.
