In an untoward incident, one of the IndiGo Airline's pilots of?a Nagpur-Pune flight (6E135), collapsed at a boarding gate of the Nagpur airport and succumbed to death while being taken to a hospital.
It has been reported that?the pilot was well-rested prior to flight as mandated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) guidelines. According to the spokesperson of the KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, Aejaz Shami,?despite receiving CPR from the emergency team of the hospital. the pilot?did not respond.

Prima facie, he died due to "sudden cardiac arrest", the KIMS-Kingsway Hospital was quoted as saying by the news agency PTI.
According to the spokesperson of the hospital, Aejaz Shami,?despite receiving CPR from the emergency team of the hospital. the pilot?did not respond.
"We are saddened at the passing of one of our pilots in Nagpur earlier today. He took unwell at Nagpur airport and was rushed to the hospital where he unfortunately passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones," the statement by the airline read.
However, the flight took off at 1:24 pm after 14 mins of delay from its scheduled departure.
