The ruling Congress in Chhattisgarh is set to embark on a day-long 'Bharosa Yatra' across all 90 assembly constituencies in preparation for the upcoming state elections. Scheduled on Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, the march aims to apprise the public of the government's welfare initiatives. Sushil Anand Shukla, head of the Chhattisgarh Congress unit's communication wing, stated that the party will also use this platform to expose the alleged shortcomings of the BJP's 15-year rule, accusing them of deceiving the people.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, along with his cabinet colleagues, Congress MLAs, and MPs, will actively participate in the march within their respective constituencies. The Yatra, utilizing four-wheelers and motorcycles, will cover a distance of 25-30 kilometers in each constituency. During the march, 'nukkad sabha' (street corner meetings) and public gatherings will be held, with a concerted effort to reach as many villages and panchayats as possible, PTI reported.?

With the Chhattisgarh assembly elections slated for the year-end, the Congress strategy includes a comprehensive outreach to inform the public about their achievements and engage with voters on the ground. This initiative follows the state government's 'Bharose ka Sammelan' held at various locations over the past months, attended by prominent Congress leaders including President Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

In contrast, the opposition BJP recently concluded its two 'Parivartan Yatras' in Bilaspur city, featuring a closing ceremony addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 'Parivartan Yatras,' initiated from Dantewada and Jashpur in south and north Chhattisgarh, respectively, marked the BJP's efforts to connect with the electorate in the run-up to the state elections.
