Sheena Chohan, who was seen as Madhuri Dixit’s PR Manager on Netflix’s ‘The Fame Game’ and as a journalist on the second season of ‘City of Dreams’, plays a major role opposite Kajol in the highly anticipated upcoming series ‘The Good Wife’, directed by Suparn Verma, and releases soon on Disney Hotstar.

Sheena plays a Christian girl from Bandra who runs into a lot of trouble and ends up in court, on the witness stand, face-to-face with Kajol, who plays a high-powered lawyer.

Talking about working with Kajol, she said, “Working with Kajol ma’am and Suparn sir was a great pleasure because of their dedication and professionalism to bring such a hard-hitting drama to the audience. The story pulls no punches and will shock the viewers to the core to see Kajol ma’am take on such a tough, no-nonsense character. For my part, I did weeks of research, visiting churches on Sunday to meet girls who worship there – taking notes on how they carried themselves and their mannerisms – even having coffee with one Christian girl from Bandra to understand her and help me fit into my unusual character."

She further mentioned, "When I brought my research notes to Suparn Sir on the set, it was very interesting because the role I play is so opposite to who I really am. In between takes when I went back to being myself, the cast and crew were shocked that I wasn’t this mild, shy, Christian girl I’d been playing. But Kajol, herself is so used to getting in and out of a role, and is not truly like the woman her character is forced to be like in this drama. She was so professional and her acting skills are at the top of her game – I can’t wait for our scenes together to be out there and for people to see my curious character interact with her.”

Apart from this, Sheena just wrapped a Hindi feature film titled ‘Sant Tukaram’, where she plays the leading lady - Saint Tukaram’s wife, alongside Marathi super-star Subodh Bhave, directed by Aditya Om.
