AP Dhillon Finally Breaks His Silence On Shubhneet Singh Aka Shubh’s India Tour Getting Cancelled

After Shubhneet Singh aka Shubh’s India tour got cancelled, AP Dhillon has finally given his two pieces of mind on this entire issue. Here’s what he had to say.

Amritpal Singh Dhillon aka AP Dhillon took to Instagram and shared a lengthy post about Shubhneet Singh aka Shubh’s India tour getting cancelled. The tour was scheduled to start from today, but it was canned at the last moment over Shubhneet Singh’s alleged support to the ongoing Khalistan issue. Shubhneet had taken to his social media page a few days back and shared a distorted map of India, which omitted Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and the Northeastern states from India. Soon afterwards there was massive outrage around the post and many celebs started unfollowing Shubhneet Singh, which eventually led to even the promoters of the India tour backing out.

AP Dhillon, another equally popular Punjabi singer based out of Canada has now said that people should ‘spread love and not hate’.

“I try to stay out of all the social mania as it is clear to me that regardless of what I say or do, it is a lost cause... someone, somewhere is going to spin the narrative to their liking and create more division. As an artist it has become almost impossible to stay focussed on your craft and do what you love. I try to be mindful of everyone's sentiments, but it's gotten to a point where we have to second and triple guess our every move due to fear of unintentionally fuelling even more division,” The musician said on Instagram Story.

“Special interest and political groups constantly use our (artists') public image as a chess piece to further their agenda, while we are just trying to make art that helps people on an individual level, regardless of their colour, race, religion, nationality, gender etc,” Dhillon added.

The ‘Brown Munde’ singer requested people to focus on spreading love and peace. He also added that people shouldn’t get influenced by ‘manmade social constructs’ that spread division.
